This is a basic Handgun Clean Course. You will learn how to make your cleaning area safe and how to disassemble your handgun. We will discuss solvents and oil, parts of the cleaning kit, what order do you do thing, how to reassemble your firearm, and function check. |
March 5, 2026(1 event) 6:00 pm: Oak Tree Fun Shoot 2/3 Gun at Rifle Range – 1st Thursday of the Month, Rifle and Pistol Fun Shoot! Come down and sharpen your skills, with variable range, rapid fire cardboard and steel targets. Make sure to bring spare mags, as most courses will involve a reload (or two!). Ammo and rentals available on-site! |

March 9, 2026(1 event) 8:30 am: Personal Protection Outside The Home – 
Teaches students the knowledge, skills and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home. Prerequisite: This course is for adult individuals who are not disqualified from possessing a firearm. Participants must also understand the basic legal concepts relating to the use of firearms in self-defense, and must know and observe not only general gun safety rules, but also those safety principles that are specific to defensive situations. Prospective participants can demonstrate by producing an NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course Certificate |

March 12, 2026(1 event) 6:00 pm: Women's Fun Shoot Oak Tree Gun Club – Oak Tree Gun Club has a Women's Only Fun Shoot the second Thursday of the month. Start time is 6pm till 9pm. Fun shooting paper and steel. Keep track of your time to knock steel plates down. Female Instructors there to help. |

This 16-hour course teaches the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to organizing, promoting and teaching the NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home Course. Prerequisites: Instructor candidates must be both an NRA Certified Pistol and Personal Protection In The Home Instructor. Candidates must have attended an NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home course and passed the student exam with a score of 90% or better. |
