SUMMARY:NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Course
DESCRIPTION:If you are new Shooter this course will provide you with the basic fundamentals of Shotgun shooting to increase your knowledge and skills. \nThis course is at least eight-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets.\nStudents learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun shell components; shotgun shell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting at straight away and angled targets; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development.\nStudents will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook\, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure\, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet\, take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination\, and receive a course completion certificate. \nCourse Goal: To teach the basic knowledge\, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a Shotgun safely. \nTo qualify for the class you need to be 18 years or older. If you are under 18 please contact Chuck Sparks.  \nYou will need: eye and hearing protection\, a shotgun\, 50 rounds of #7 ½ or 8 shot shotgun shells in the Gauge of your shotgun.
