NRA Women On Target Instructional Clinics provide a thorough introduction to firearm safety, handling, and shooting skills. In this clinic, we will be going over handguns. Instructed by Certified NRA Instructors and Range Safety Officers. Clinic Consists of; Firearms Safety, Parts, Operation, Ammunition, Fundamentals of Shooting, Live Fire Exercises, and NRA Continued Training Opportunities. Agenda: 8:30-9:00 a.m. Sign-in 9:00-12:00 noon Classroom instruction (NRA certified instructors) 12:00 noon – 1:00 Lunch 1:00 – 4:00 pm Round Robin at A Place To Shoot Cost: $50.00 (pre-registration required). Cost includes the use of firearms, targets, and ammunition. The clinic is rain or shine. Note: The clinic is limited to 20 participants. Payment is required to confirm a spot in the clinic. Free goody bags for all participants. If you want to bring your own handgun after the clinic one of the instructors can go over the operation of your gun with you.

Are you looking for some fun? Here is a great competition. How well do you shoot? How fast are you? How well do you shoot from a 6’ A Frame Ladder, Folding Chair, or a Saw Horse?

Come out to the Small-Bore Shoot Safety briefing will be at 9:30am. Going to shoot 3 stages. Score will be based on hits on targets and time.

NRA Basic Range Safety Officer Course
Develops NRA Certified Range Safety Officers with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing,
conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.
This course is nine hours long and is conducted in a classroom and at a shooting facility. Range Safety Officer candidates will learn the roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. Each Range Safety Officer Candidate will receive an RSO Student Study Guide, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, an NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and a Course Evaluation form.

If you are a new or an experienced shooter this course will provide you with the basic fundamentals of pistol shooting to increase your skills.
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course consists of instruction and a hands-on practical portion at the range under the guidance and supervision of an NRA Certified Instructor. This course is eight hours and is intended for all adults regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation.

Some of the topics in the course include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, selecting and storing a pistol, the fundamentals of shooting and pistol inspection and maintenance.
During the training of the course, an NRA Certified Instructor will validate comprehension and application of gun safety rules; range protocol; proper handling, loading and unloading procedures; application of pistol shooting fundamentals; stable shooting positions; live fire; and a final shooting qualification.
